Earlier last year( 2009) Youth With A Mission Northern Ireland and YWAM Ireland merged to become YWAM Ireland. We are a community seeking to serve Christ and connect with the nation, located in Belfast (urban), and Dublin (urban), as well as on the road, on the streets, and in the churches, schools, coffee shops and pubs of the nation.

Do you want to be equipped to use your gifts and passion for media to creatively share God’s love with people? How about networking with others who are using media to reach the nations?

Whether you’re media-savvy, a technical expert or just someone with a love for creative communication… if you’re passionate about knowing God more and making him known creatively, Media DTS may be just your thing!

On the School you will be learning about and using the web, radio, video, graphics and other forms of media.

This Media DTS couples the adventure of discipleship with media tools to pass on your discoveries, your perspectives and your experience of God to the world.

You will get the opportunity to take six months away from the normal pressures and routine of life. We will teach you how to build an intimate relationship with God, develop personal character, and lead a lifestyle of expressing God's love to others.

The school begins with a 15 week lecture phase which includes a mini-outreach in the middle and then moves into an nine week outreach where you will apply the teachings and media skills learnt on the school.

COSTS   £25  non-refundable Application Fee                     

£2400 Lecture Phase

£1400-£1650 Outreach Phase
(not including airfare which may cost around £120)  

 OUTREACH   Ireland, London Olympics 2012 & other (tbc)  

The fees cover all your living expenses for the DTS. The final cost of Outreach Phase varies depending on the location. We always aim to keep costs as low as possible. The figures given should be taken as an estimated guideline. You will also need some extra money for toiletries, souvenirs, snacks, etc.

Overwhelming Provision from God!

Rostrevor CRCWe had an exciting prayer time with YWAM in the Christian Renewal Centre in Rostrevor. We've been blown away by God's incredibly  unmerited favour in our lives.  The members of the Trust that runs this beautiful retreat centre right on the border between the North and South of Ireland, decided unanimously to give the property to YWAM Ireland.  The centre has been a beacon of light to Protestants and Catholics from all corners of the island of Ireland with an amazing 35 year legacy of reconciliation, prayer and spiritual renewal.
 
Jonny Clark, the leader of YWAM Ireland, commented, "This allows us to develop a ministry that will hopefully minister to the whole body of Christ here, as well as providing a centre for training for new teams of YWAMers to go into every major city in Ireland, as well as from this island to cities in war-torn and conflicted nations all over the world." Here are some of the photos from our prayer time, God spoke to us about building on the vision of the Centre to be a lighthouse to the nations.
 
One of the Scriptures God gave us was Isaiah 61:1.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released

A few days away

We met together as YWAM Ireland for a few days to seek God together and have some fun.
 
God spoke to us about drawing closer to Him and hope for Ireland.  We learnt afresh the value of personalising and proclaiming scriptures such as Romans 15:13, "May God, the source of all hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
 
We left very encouraged and fired up for all that God had for us in the year ahead.
