The Vision for Voice of Peace

Communicate God’s love through the use of media and to train others in media.

The language of media is relevant and has the potential to have a powerful impact on all cultures. 

Mobile technology allows us to bring audio and video messages of the gospel relatively easily to unreached people groups and use media for discipleship in developing countries.  In parts of the world with easy access to the internet, social media and media in general has become an integral part of people’s lives, especially young people.

We believe God has called us to set up a Youth With A Mission media training base in Banbridge to equip and launch individuals and mission teams to communicate the gospel in the language of today’s generation.

Media DTS

As part of this vision, we are preparing to run a Media Discipleship Training School in Banbridge, Northern Ireland from March to August 2012 with an outreach to the London Olympics 2012. 

On the school, we will have excellent international and local speakers to disciple students and equip them in media skills with topics such as Father Heart of God, Hearing God’s voice, God as a designer, radio, web, print, video and social media, etc.

How It All Started

In November 1996, we were seeking God together and He spoke to us and said "I want you in Media and Broadcasting. It is to be a ministry of love, forgiveness and reconciliation."

God also spoke to us about starting Shine FM which we went on air in December 1999 to usher in the new millennium. A scripture that God gave us as a basis for this ministry was: Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."

Shine FM is now a Community Radio Station with a Christian ethos broadcasting 24/7 to Banbridge, Northern Ireland, and the surrounding areas.
