refreshingly real and applicable to everyday
life. Here are some other comments that
listeners have texted
in to us:
"Wow! It was a powerful message.
The word has put my faith 2 another level." Stanley
"Those words
have blessed me. They have taught me how 2 stay near 2 God
& have changed me & my family."

Gifts bring
hope to children in Africa
We recently sent out an appeal for support for
children and
orphans in Africa who are struggling to get an education and sometimes
go without food. With the help of many generous gifts we have
been able to continue to support these kids, which has given them the
injection of hope that they need to keep persevering and aim for a
better life in the future! Thanks so much to all those who
prayed and gave.
Here's a text from one of the orphans after your gifts enabled us to
pay for her studies.
"Cn now c da future clearly coz
u've paved a clear way 4 me. Thanx a lot 4 holding my hand
thru it." Anna

Update August 2007:
A
New Door to Broadcast to East Africa
In March this year 2007, Nathan was invited to
broadcast on Top Radio in Western Uganda by telephone.
Over 200 people
contacted the station to say they'd given their lives to Jesus after
hearing Nathan's message. Since then, God has led us
to run a
weekly program on radio in Uganda. After 4 weeks' broadcast, we were
greatly encouraged to hear that over over 500 people
contacted our programme coordinator to say that they had given their
lives to Jesus. Since then hundreds more have come to Christ,
many have been healed and many more discipled.
At present, Nathan is broadcasting weekly on Grace Radio with listeners
in Uganda, Tanzania,
Rwanda
& Congo. Questions from
listeners
vary
from "Now that I'm a
Christian what Baptism should I get?" to "There is
no church in our area, can someone come and start a church for us?"
As a result of these broadcasts, Nathan is going
to
Uganda in August/September to conduct seminars for pastors to teach
them how to interprete Scriptures using the Inductive
Bible Study
Method.
SBS
for Busy People
When Nathan was working with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in East Africa
he staffed and lead the School of Biblical Studies which teaches the
Inductive Bible Study Method. It is a fantastic course which
equips students to read and study the Bible in depth for themselves.
Nathan has long had a vision to run this school for busy
people. His former teacher and a friend, Jenny Sheldon, has
run this course in London and has been passing on her experience to
Nathan. So on the 7/7/07, we launched the School of
Biblical Studies for Busy People in our home. The students
have started with the book of Philemon and are excited at the depth
they are able to uncover in the book using the inductive bible study
method.
Multimedia Course
Nathan has just finished a
multimedia course in the local college under
the Peace and Reconciliation programme. The course covered animation,
film and video production, graphic design and web design.
Shine
FM is On Air With a Permanent Licence
Shine
FM
has been awarded a five year licence by OFCOM!! The Station is now on
air, broadcasting to Banbridge District and beyond. It's very
encouraging
and exciting news. Nathan
presents a programme every Sunday.
When God originally gave us the vision for a full time radio station
for Banbridge, it seemed like the wild
ambition of a crazy dreamer. Now all we can say is, "God, you
are faithful."
Many many thanks for your prayers and support for Shine FM through the
years. Of course, we appreciate your prayers especially now that Shine
FM will get the right presenters to share the Good News of Jesus with
the listeners.

Update February 2006:
Stepping Back
We
decided that it was the right time for us to step back from an
active role in Shine FM. This has been as much a step of faith as
pioneering Shine FM was! The team has grasped the baton with great
enthusiasm and faith believing that God can continue to make Shine FM a
reality and touch people's lives through it. Our role now is
to
encourage the team and pass on any helpful information we've learnt
over the years in media and broadcasting. It will take some time to
pass on the knowledge we've picked up over
the years to the new management.
